TAGGED - Beauty Talk!

Hello everyone!

So I was contacted by a fellow beauty fanatic named Jess to fill out this little beauty questionnaire. It looked super fun so, hey, why not?

What products have stood out to you this year?

This year was all about liquid lipsticks and the best mascara. Kat Von D and Stila's liquid lipsticks are amazing, and I can't even begin to list all of the mascaras I've tried and loved! Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes, Benefit's They're Real,  Lancôme Hypnose Star, Marcelle Extension Plus (Marcelle makes me think of The Originals, haha) among MANY others. Love love love!



Which makeup items would you recommend for young girls or people who are just getting in to beauty?

I would recommend the Naked 2 palette, simply because you'll have it for ages and you can do so much with it. Simply day look? Got it. Holiday look? There we go. Amusement park? Easy. Going out smokey? Naked 2's got you covered.

I feel like that's the most versatile palette, and the best investment. Young girls DO NOT need so many face products like foundation, powder, and concealer - come on!

Play up your eyes because that's the easiest! You can even swipe on some lipgloss from NYX and you're ready to go anywhere.



Favourite high street and high end beauty brand?

My favorite high street brand is CoverGirl. Hands down, perfect. I've raved about the 3-in-1 foundation here, and their other products are great, also!

My favorite high end beauty brand is Dior. Mind you, I haven't tried a lot of Dior products, but Dior Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond is enough to make you fall in love. Oh! And the amazing Dior perfumes.



Most disappointing product you've tried?

DEFINITELY Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. So disappointing, I can't even begin. It reeked, and I just honestly could not stand it.

A beauty item you use everyday?

Rosebud Salve! It's an amazing multi-purpose lip balm. I use it all-year-round. Plus it smells heavenly.

What are you essentials for winter?

I think for the winter, a great perfume like Marc Jacobs' Daisy is a must-have. You'll be at parties and events, and that's a lovely way to debut your new scent. I like to buy a new perfume to mark a new stage in my life. Every year, it's something different. Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden reminds me of my sophomore year in high school, Gucci Envy Me reminds me of eighth grade, and so on.

A heavier moisturizer is definitely in order for winter time. In the winter, my normally dry skin gets OUT of control creepy dry. I personally love Rénergie Lift Multi-Action by Lancôme. It works well, but doesn't sting my very sensitive skin. I'm actually branching out to find new skin products, and my Origins stuff should be coming soon! Woohoo.


Your favorite products for a dramatic, party look?

My favorite products for a dramatic look are the blackest liquid liner and bright red lipstick! BAM! Takes every look up ten notches. Instant glam, without much effort! You don't even need to spend too much on these going-out essentials - they're in your local drugstore (Maybelline and Revlon make great stuff)!

What's on your Christmas wish list? (beauty wise ... )

NAKED 3. PLEASE. BE IN MY ARMS. Sold out everywhere, and I didn't act quick enough. :(
