Time is flying by so fast, and I feel like I just started this semester & my internship.
I've recently cleaned my room top to bottom because I like a clutter-free life to keep my mind at ease. I bought cans and cans of Glade's Apple Cinnamon Cheer and four candles of that scent as well. I'm simultaneously burning Harvest Gathering from Bath & Body Works. My room seriously smells like an autumn paradise right now. I love this - the little things.
OH. And check out my fall inspired nails - Don't Sweater It by Essie. I get them done about every 1-2 weeks because if I'm left to do my own nails, I'll get polish in my eyes (OUCH. I've really done it.), on my palms - everywhere. Don't trust me with nail polish.
I'm currently curled up in my blankets, letting the crisp autumn air flood my room and listening to Spotify's "Your Favorite Coffeehouse" playlist* and drinking a Caramel Macchiato and munching on a dark chocolate brownie from a batch that my brother and I just made. YUM. I'm also pinning like crazy - follow me on Pinterest.
I don't know why, but I'm feeling a tad emotional. I've realized that my life has completely changed since October 2012. I went to FIT's open house on October 20th, 2012 and I remember it like it was yesterday. Since then, my whole world has changed, and my sadness started to melt away. Leaving UCF was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, and Rutgers just wasn't right for me.
But a FASHION school? Was it worth the risk?
Yes.
I'm so happy I made this choice. I'm in the greatest city in the WORLD (YUP, I said it!) learning my more and more about my favorite subjects (Advertising & Marketing) and I'm an intern at a company I've dreamed of working for: Marc Jacobs. It's a lot of work, very demanding (Pike and Espresso in the bloodstream. The baristas at Starbucks in Soho are my best friends now), but I truly enjoy it. I'm happy there, and I never want to leave. I love the people I work with, I love the location, and it's just amazing to be surrounded by the best in fashion.
Everything's in my life is so surreal, and it just hit me. I'm thankful for every challenge and hardship along the way, because I wouldn't be here without them, and those who tried to tear me down.
*Disclaimer: Kindly note that I'm a representative for Spotify.

Things are working out. Thank God.
So ... am I ok now? Finally.
