First stop - Wooster Street Social Club! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a sucker for great tattoos. It was exciting to be inside such a creative space (I got to tour the shop - WOOOT)! Everyone was super nice and the shop was BEAUTIFUL. This shop is the setting for the TLC show NY Ink.
I also went to Little Italy, which wasn't too far from Wooster. However, it was probably the worst place to be at lunchtime ... well, only because I was starving and there are infinitely many choices of restaurants in New York! Haha!
I had some time to kill, so I decided to walk around and soak in the sights. I've been looking into business schools (at this point just thinking about my future and possibilities) so I ventured over to NYU Stern School of Business. I took a tour of the school (I was the youngest in the group) and learned about the MBA program. Stern is such an amazing school in a killer location! Plus, it's right by Washington Square Park. What a lovely place to unwind on probably the most gorgeous day in NYC all summer!
After the tour, I went to Ann Taylor's flagship store on Madison Ave for the Intern Queen Party. It was SO much fun, and I made quite a few friends in the line that wrapped around a few blocks! We ended up hanging out the entire night. :) Lauren Berger and the panelists (including, but not limited to representatives from Us Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Elizabeth Arden & Mashable) were incredibly helpful and had so much advice to offer. Everyone mingled and enjoyed the free drinks, pink velvet cupcakes, the great music (thanks DJ!), gift bags, photobooths, and more! Overall, such a wonderful event and I definitely recommend going next year. It was pretty packed though, so get there early.
